Emergency Medicine
SAVING LIVES AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT.
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Meenakshi Hospital, Thanjavur is a 12-bedded state-of-the-art facility designed for patients in need of immediate assessment and treatment. Additionally, it is the region’s sole tertiary referral facility of its kind. A 24-hour life-saving unit is operated by emergency room doctors with the assistance of medical oicers and nursing staff. We use a triage system that prioritizes patients according to their needs. The really ill patients are brought to the resuscitation area where they can perform the necessary life-saving resuscitation techniques right at their bedsides. We are experienced in managing all types of emergencies thanks to over 1000 cases that are registered at the Emergency outpatient department each month.
